Welcome to the Center Conservation District
The Center Conservation District was formed in 1944 in response to the Dust Bowl of the 1930s to provide education, outreach, and producer technical support with the ultimate goal of natural resource conservation. Conservation Districts are special districts of the state, therefore giving them the responsibility to operate within predetermined boundaries following Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 35, Article 70 (C.R.S. 35-70).
We work with all landowners within the District's boundaries to educate and assist with natural resource conservation via programs, grant opportunities, and more. For more information about Colorado's Conservation Districts, please see the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts website.
